It's early, but I have a AP US Gov't exam today. Cram, cram, cram. Though I doubt I can get the entire Nixon/Ford/Carter administrations done in less than two hours.

We'll see how it goes.

Oh, by the way? freya_anise is a verrrry interesting houseguest.

And since Mom has begged me to write no more than that (for the sake of intergalatic relations), I'll do exactly as she asked and...leave it at that.

Oh, except one thing. Freya...Anise...WHOEVER...Uhm, I mean her first and last name is "Freya Anise" ah right yeah...anyway, she shows up at the house in this outfit that Mom wouldn't be DEAD letting me out of the house in.

Now, is this a good example to set for an impressionable young lady, hmmm?

Anyway, Freya...Anise...Whoever...looked cold, standing ouside our door, shivering in the nippy Colorado air. So I offered her one of my UC Boulder sweatshirts.

Which she promptly refused. Man, I really had a hard time not saying something, but I managed. Did nothing but smile and raised my eyebrow in a way that would have made jaffa_kree proud.

Oh, and I'm not letting *any* of my bf's near my house until she's gone back to... Well, let's just say she's from Canada too.

Well, made it back home just in time - 3 minutes before curfew!!

Mom, of course, was waiting right inside the door. She's a naturally protective person, but add to that the fact that I'm from...Toronto...and what happened to me last year (I got a bit sick and had to be hospitalized), well, it just means that she's just *that* much more overprotective than most parents.

Anyway, had a GREAT time tonight! Can't wait til sam_c gets back from her conference so I can tell her all about it!

La. It's the middle of 6th period, and I have to write some stupid essay on 'the use of allegories in early American Literature.' We have to choose between Moby Dick, the Crucible or the Scarlet Letter.

This is bs.

Luckily, we get time in the writing labs to type it, so I'm doing this instead. Hee! The stupid TA's not paying attention to any of the students.

And OH MAN, Mom found out about my livejournal. And then she got into a fight with one of my posters who's name is distant_cord. ::rolls eyes:: Sometimes I just wish she would chill.

Luckily, I think I talked her into ignoring my journal. But I think someone ratted me out. I suspect suzvoy. And speaking of the devil, she sent me an amazing picture of Jonas.

Now, I gotta ask: WHY DOES EVERYONE ASSUME I'VE GOT A CRUSH ON JONAS?!

Cause you couldn't be further from the truth, you know. Because the truth is, I don't have a crush on Jonas Quinn. No. Nope. I am ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY IN LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE with him. Yes, that's right! I've got a big mushy crush on a friend of my mom's. And I think suzvoy does too. She may be closer to him in age, but I have the leg up on her because I actually live in the same city as him. So there. Neener. *sticks tongue out at Suz*

Hehe. I'm a sucker for hopeless crushes. First Graham Simmons and now Jonas. Sheesh. No wonder mom doesn't let me go on the base much anymore.

Anyway, in other, not so hopeless crush news, my date with Josh yesterday went well. We went to Ruby Tuesday's. Not the one at the mall (because I already made that mistake once; Sam and Mom came by to spy on me, of course they said they were 'just shopping' and happened to 'just see me' but of course, I know better). Instead, we went to the one on Lafayette, near the multiplex. Anywhos, didn't eat much; I really want to fit into my prom dress, though mom doesn't know yet that I've got my eye on it. She'll probably say that it's too expensive for a teenager, but hey, prom only comes once! Or...twice. Or, I guess three times, if you're a sophomore and you're lucky enough to get asked. Anyway, Josh still hasn't asked me to Prom yet, but that's okay; it's still a far ways off. But I hope he asks me soon, so we can start coordinating his tux colors to my dress.

Anyway, better go. The TA is looking over this way. She's such an idiot.

Oh, and I'm just glad Jonas doesn't have a lj to see this entry. And hopefully, g_hammond won't see it either; he seems concerned about all the security breaches. Ha. If he only knew that suzvoy has a direct line to all the security camera feeds...

Hey, cool, this is my first entry! Though I almost didn't get this livejournal, because, I mean, my MOM has one, and how uncool is that? In fact, ALL her friends and co-workers from where she works seem to have these livejournals. But hopefully, she won't come across mine, but still, I'll have to be very careful what I write, just in case. I don't want to freak her out.

Mom freaks out a lot. Don't even get me started on our fight yesterday.

Well, I have to go to bed now. Tomorrow's back to school, and it's past midnight.
